Victoria Panova

Dr. Panova is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Her research focuses on global governance (G8, G20, BRICS), energy security, sustainable development. She has served as Regional Director of Russia for the G8\G20\BRICS Research Group based at the University of Toronto since 2003. Dr. Panova has also been a member of the Scientific Council of the National Committee on BRICS research since 2011 and is currently serving as its Strategy Planning Advisor. She was also a participating member of the National Working Group for the Advisory Council of the Civil G8 project led by Ella A. Pamfilova (2005-2007). Dr. Panova has published in variety of national and international journals and is a regular contributor to the G8/G20 Newsdesk publication series. She was also a Visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and was a visiting researcher at the BRICS Policy Center in Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Ph.D. in the history of International Relations from MGIMO.
