Dr. De Souza is a consultant and political analyst. From 1967 to 1984, Dr. De Souza was a Visiting Professor at several U.S. universities, including the University of California, Riverside and Berkeley, University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame, Duke University and the University of North Carolina. He was a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and Visiting Fellow at the Center for Hemispheric Policy, University of Miami. He has been a senior partner of MCM Associated Consultants, Rio de Janeiro, a member of the Social and Political Council of S?o Paulo`s Commerce Association, member of the board of the Millenium Institute, and former councilor of the S?o Paulo`s Federation of Industrialists and Rio de Janeiro’s Commerce Association. He holds a B.A. from the School of Economics, Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
