Andreas Esche

How Can Leadership Save the Eurozone? (Moderator)

Mr. Esche is the Director of the Bertelsmann Stiftung in Guetersloh, Germany. From 1990 to 1994 he worked as a Research Associate and Project Director at Prognos AG in Basel, Switzerland. He was subsequently a Senior Consultant at the Centre Europ?en d’Expertise en Evaluation in Lyon, France. Mr. Esche joined Bertelsmann Stiftung in 1996 as Head of the Economics and Social Policy Unit. In 2003, he was responsible for the foundation’s interdisciplinary project “Aktion Demographischer Wandel.” He became the Director of the foundation’s management board in 2008, and is currently responsible for the “Shaping Sustainable Economics” program. Mr. Esche studied at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at the University of Trier, Germany, graduating with a degree in Economics.
