Dr. Han is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Keimyung University in Daegu. His research interests include the politics of dictatorship, collective behaviors, and post-communist transitions. He has written “Rationalist Theory of State Building and its Implication for the Korean State Building in the Traditional Era” (in Korean) (The Korean Journal of Area Studies, 2010), “A Study of Regime Durability in North Korea” (in Korean) (National Strategy, 2009), and “Political Change in Korean Electoral Authoritarianism” (in Korean) (Journal of Korean Political Society, 2009). Currently, he is working on the process of authoritarian regime breakdown from the perspective of critical phenomena and its implications for North Korea. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004, and a B.A. (1993) and M.A. (1995) from the Department of International Relations, Seoul National University, Korea.
