Chung Jongpil

Assistant Professor, Kyung Hee University
Political Reform in China

Dr. Chung is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Kyung Hee University. His research focuses on the Chinese state-society relationship, information technology policy, and foreign policy. Dr. Chung’s recent articles include “Weibo and ‘Iron Curtain 2.0’ in China: Who is winning the cat-and-mouse game?” (2011), “Assessing China’s Influence on Southeast Asia: The Taiwan Issue” (2011), and “An Analysis of the ASAT missile test competition between China and the U.S.: Focusing on the Security Dilemma Theory” (2010), among others. He studied at Yonsei University and received his M.A. and Ph.D. from Syracuse University.
