Mr. Dalton is deputy director of the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His research focuses on nonproliferation and nuclear energy, in particular on East and South Asia. Prior to joining the Carnegie Endowment, Mr. Dalton was senior policy advisor in the Office of Nonproliferation and International Security at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. He also served as director of the DOE office at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, as professional staff member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, as a visiting research fellow at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies in Seoul, Korea, and as a research assistant at the National Bureau of Asian Research in Seattle. Mr. Dalton received a B.A. from Occidental College, an M.A. from the University of Washington, and is a Ph.D. candidate in public policy at the George Washington University.
