Mr. Nelson has served in a variety of roles at the US-ASEAN Business Council for the past four years. During that time he has led or co-organized the first-ever U.S. Business Mission to Myanmar just two days after the suspension of sanctions, the first high-level dialogue between U.S. defense companies and Vietnamese procurement officials from every branch of service since the end of the Vietnam War, and the first U.S. business mission to the ASEAN Secretariat. He is also the chief organizer for the US-ASEAN Business Council Institute’s SME training program, instituted at the request of the ASEAN Economic Ministers to provide skills training and networking opportunities to SMEs throughout all 10 ASEAN countries. Prior to joining the Council he worked with a variety of arts and education non-profits. He holds a B.S. from Northwestern University.
