Dr. Serbin is currently the Executive President of the Regional Coordination for Economic and Social Research (CRIES), Chair of the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) and former Executive Committee member, and current International Board member of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC). He also serves as Full Professor (ret.) at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Emeritus Researcher of the CONICIT in Venezuela, President Emeritus of the Venezuelan Institute of Social and Political Studies (INVESP), and is advisor to the Argentine Council of International Relations (CARI). Dr. Serbin has had a distinguished career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Argentina as well as in academia. Dr. Serbin received a degree in Social Anthropology from the Universidad de La Plata, Argentina, and holds a Masters Degree in Social Psychology (Universidad Sim?n Bol?var, Venezuela) and a Ph.D. in Political Science (Universidad Central de Venezuela).
