Professor Evelyn Goh is the Shedden Professor of Strategic Policy Studies at the Australian National University, where she is also the director of Research at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre. Her expertise is Asian security and international relations, in theory and practice. Her books include The Struggle for Order: Hegemony, Hierarchy and Transition in Post-Cold War East Asia (Oxford University Press, 2013), Rising China’s Influence in Developing Asia (OUP, 2016), and Re-thinking Sino-Japanese Alienation (OUP, forthcoming, with Barry Buzan). She is co-editor of the prestigious Cambridge Studies in International Relations book series. Prof. Goh has held previous faculty positions at Royal Holloway University of London, the University of Oxford and the Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore. She was trained at Oxford and Cambridge.
