Professor Zhang Tuosheng is a senior fellow and chairman of the Academic Committee as well as the director of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies at the China Foundation for International and Strategic Studies. He is also a council member of the Chinese Arms Control and Disarmament Association, the Academy of International and Strategic Studies of Peking University and senior advisor of the Pangoal Institution. At present, he is the Sejong-KT&G Fellow, Center for East Asian Cooperation, the Sejong Institute. Previously, he was the deputy defense attaché at the Chinese Embassy in the UK, research fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) National Defense University and a lecturer at the PLA Military College. His main research interests are China-U.S. relations, China-Japan relations, Asia-Pacific security, security crisis management and China’s foreign policy. Prof. Zhang earned his master’s degree from Central Party School of the Communist Party of China.
