Dr. Lee is currently a visiting fellow at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). Most recently, he served as vice president and director of the Center for International Development Cooperation at KIEP. Dr. Lee is Korea’s chief coordinator of Trilateral Joint Research. He was a member of the Joint Expert Group for Feasibility Study on an East Asia FTA before assuming the chairmanship of the EAFTA Phase II Study from May 2007 to August 2009. He was also a member of the Track Two Study Group for Comprehensive Economic Partnership in East Asia from 2007 to 2009. In addition, he has been a member of the Joint Study Committee for a China-Japan-Korea FTA from 2010 to 2011. He graduated from the University of Paris I (PANTHEON-SORBONNE) where he completed his Ph.D. in economics.
