Dr. Nam Chang-hee is a professor in the Department of Political Science in the School of Social Sciences at Inha University. He currently serves as an advisor to the ROK ministries of unification and education, as well as the headquarters of ROK military service branches. Previously, he was a research fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses from 1994-2000, a visiting fellow at the National Institute for Defense Studies in Tokyo, Japan in 1999, and a visiting fellow at Kyushu University in 2006. He was formerly a member of the Korean National Security Council’s Policy Advisory Group in 2002 and the ROK Ministry of National Defense Advisory Group in 2009. He has also served as the vice dean of the Graduate School of Inha University. He is the author of many books and articles. He received an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of Kansas at Lawrence.
