Mr. Saghafi-Ameri is a former senior diplomat and served during his 32 years of career in the Iranian diplomatic missions in Ottawa, Stockholm and in New Delhi. He was a member of Iranian delegations to the United Nations in Geneva and in New York dealing with international security and disarmament issues. Since September 2000 and after his retirement he has been mostly involved in scholarly activities in the fields of Iranian Foreign Policy, International Security and Nuclear Disarmament. Presently, his private capacity he has been vastly involved in Track II diplomacy.
