The global governance system is undergoing significant changes as international organizations are reforming. The success of reforms in the governance system is largely influenced by the leadership of the major powers and the role of the middle powers (bridge states) such as Korea in resolving the conflict of interests between developed countries and developing countries. At the upcoming G20 Summit, Korea will present the initiative at governance reforms and assume the role of a bridge state. The study will further the understanding of politics of governance in international institutions and suggest policies necessary for governance reforms.
