Scott Snyder

American Foreign Policy towards the Korean Peninsula; Leadership Transitions in the Two Koreas (Moderator)

Mr. Snyder is Senior Fellow for Korea Studies and Director of the Program on U.S.-Korea Policy at the Council on Foreign Relations, and editor of “The U.S.-South Korea Alliance.” He previously worked at The Asia Foundation between 2000 and 2011, where he served as representative in Seoul and directed the foundation’s Center for U.S.-Korea Policy. He has also worked for the U.S. Institute of Peace and The Asia Society. Mr. Snyder received a B.A. from Rice University and a M.A. in East Asian Regional Studies from Harvard University. He is the author of “China’s Rise and the Two Koreas: Politics, Economics, Security.”
