Sarah Wade-Apicella

Ms. Sarah Wade-Apicella, Programme Officer at UNISDR ONEA-GETI, co-coordinates the UNISDR office in Incheon where she is currently developing training programmes for national implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, with a focus on coherence with Climate Change Convention and the SDGs. She was previously Managing Editor of PreventionWeb, the UNISDR disaster risk reduction community knowledge service platform (2007-2015), Coordinator of the Information Management for Disaster Risk Reduction (IKM4DRR) network, and is a member of the Climate Knowledge Brokers group. Prior to joining the UN, she was an editorial consultant directed towards adult learning programs, and held senior positions in online media strategy and production for Newsweek, Fortune, and numerous start-ups. She received her B.A. in cultural anthropology from Smith College.
