Participant Biographies

Li Mingjiang (李明江)

Associate Professor, Nanyang Technological University
China and Global Governance

Dr. Li is an associate professor at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is also the coordinator of the China Program and the coordinator of the M.Sc. in Asian Studies Program at RSIS. His main research interests include China’s diplomatic history, the rise of China in the context of East Asian regional relations, Sino-U.S. relations, and domestic sources of China’s international strategies. He is the author (including editor and co-editor) of 9 books. His most recent books are Ideological Dilemma: Mao’s China and the Sino-Soviet Split and China Joins Global Governance: Cooperation and Contentions. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Boston University.
