On Wednesday, December 26, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a roundtable meeting with a delegation from the Al Jazeera Centre for Studies and the Al Jazeera Broadcasting Network. Led by Dr. Salah Eddin Elzein, Director of the Al Jazeera Centre for Studies, the delegation’s visit was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The roundtable discussion focused on the latest developments taking place in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing unrest in Egypt, as well as the civil war in Syria. The meeting also discussed the role of the Al Jazeera Network as a rapidly expanding independent news broadcaster and its role in shaping the Arab uprisings.
