On October 22, 2019, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable with a delegation of the Czech Senators from the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security. Chairman of the committee, Senator Pavel Fischer, was the head of the delegation. The participants discussed the progress of the United States – China Trade War and its impact on middle powers like Korea and the Czech Republic. They also shared their opinions about the United States’ approach to treating the allies and China’s attitude towards the recent Hong Kong democratic movement.
