On June 30th, 2016, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable with the Center for Policy Research of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The discussion covered topics ranging from the geopolitical situation on the Korean peninsula to global issues, such as terrorism, climate change, and energy policy. The commonalities and differences between the security environments of the two respective regions, as well as the role of the US and its allies in an increasingly multipolar world were also discussed.

⇨ Benny DAGAN
Mr. DAGAN is Deputy Director General and Head of the Center for Policy Research in the Foreign Ministry of Israel. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1985 and since then has held various positions in political affairs and research. His postings abroad included: Political Officer at the Embassy of Israel in Cairo (1986-88); Consul in the Mid-West Region Consulate General of Israel in Chicago (1988-1990); Minister-Counselor for Middle-East Affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C (1998-2003) and Ambassador of Israel to Sweden (2008-2012).
⇨ Benjamin KRASNA
Mr. KRASNA is Head of Bureau of Economic and Asian Affairs, Center for Policy Research. He has been responsible for research on Asia and global Political-Economic developments, as well as training, infrastructure and budget since August 2014. Mr. Krasna’s work focuses on Iran, sanctions, and energy politics.

Ms. Lital YEKUTIELI is Senior Analyst, East Asian Affairs, Center for Policy Research, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2009.
⇨ David LEVY
David LEVY is the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Israel to the Republic of Korea. Previously, he was a First Secretary and Desk Officer at the Central Europe and Eurasia Division in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassies in Riga, Latvia, and Yaoundé, Cameroon, and was an Attaché in the Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
