On December 5, 2019, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies and the Woodrow Wilson Center cohosted a roundtable.
Under the title “U.S.-China Trade War: Moving towards a truce?”, panelists discussed the current trade dispute more in connection with the strategic competition between the two great powers, differences between the current U.S. trade negotiation vis-à-vis China and other trade negotiations. In addition, they mentioned external and internal challenges that South Korea is facing in the era of the U.S.-China strategic rivalry.
