The State of the North Korean Regime

It is now evident that the death of Kim Jong-il did not lead to either policy change or regime change. Despite the rapid turnover in the top echelon of the North Korean leadership, external and internal policy stances of the Kim Jong-un regime have stayed remarkably similar to Kim Jong-il’s. This session will focus on what internal and external circumstances have remained the same.
