Session Description
Since normalization of relations in 1992, Korea and China have made tremendous strides in all aspects of their relations. Bilateral trade has reached the 200 billion dollar mark while over six million people visit each other annually. During her visit to China, President Park Geun-hye noted that Korea was keen to upgrade its “strategic cooperative partnership” with China. Both country’s growing prosperity and influence have also led to a range of issues that require further cooperation and coordination. In what ways can the two countries upgrade their relationship while managing such issues? What does the future hold for Korea-China relations?
