Dr. Ha is a member of the 19th National Assembly (Saenuri Party) of the Republic of Korea, representing the Hae-un-dae district of the city of Busan as his constituency. From 2005 to 2011, he was actively involved in the North Korean human rights movement, working as the President of the Open Radio for North Korea, a short wave radio station with a mission to send “voices of hope” to the Korean people of North Korea. Dr. Ha also worked as a Senior Researcher for the SK Research Institute for SUPEX Management before entering the national legislature. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Michigan State University. Dr. Ha received a B.A. in physics from Seoul National University, an M.A. in international cooperation from Korea University Graduate School of International Studies, and a doctorate in economics from Jilin University Graduate School, China.
