On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Center at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable discussion with Dr. Hamid Alawadhi, Dean of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen and Professor at Sanaa University.
A leading human rights scholar, Dr. Alawadhi held a wide-ranging discussion on the Arab uprisings and its impact on Yemen, the Arab world, and the international community. He also discussed the changing nature of Arab identity, political Islam, and the role of youth activism.
