Dr. Khalil is the director of Argonne’s Nuclear Engineering Division and is responsible for the Laboratory’s research on nuclear reactor technology and nuclear non-proliferation. He is also a fellow of the American Nuclear Society and has served as one of two U.S. representatives to the Experts Group of the Generation IV International Forum. His research background is in nuclear reactor physics, core design and fuel cycle analysis. He has written or co-written approximately 140 journal articles and other publications. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
