The Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted the 6th Asan Institute Roundtable on “Korea as an Emerging Donor” on June 16, 2010.
Hahm Chaibong (Director, Asan Institute) was the moderator, and Barbara Stallings (Brown University, Ewha Woman’s University Graduate School of International Studies), Neantro Saavedra-Rivano (Professor, University of Tsukuba), Kim Eunmi (Professor, Ewha Woman’s University Graduate School of International Studies), and Hwang Wongyu (Professor, Gangneung-Wonju National University) participated as panelists. They discussed Korea’s transformation from an aid recipient country to a donor country and compared Korea’s case with those of Japan, China, and Vietnam.
