Dr. Yoon Young-kwan is the chairman of the Asan Institute for Policy Studies and a professor emeritus at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Seoul National University. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea from 2003 to 2004 and taught at the University of California, Davis, for three years before joining Seoul National University. He also founded the Korean Institute for Future Strategies and served as its first president, and was a founding member and chairman of the Korea Peace Institute. Dr. Yoon was the co-chair of the East Asia Vision Group II (2011-2012) and the chairman of the National Assembly Advisory Council for Diplomatic Affairs (2019-2020). He has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University and has published numerous books and articles on international political economy, Korea’s foreign policy, and inter-Korean relations.
