Mr. Liu is a research fellow at the Military Encyclopedia Institute in the Academy of Military Sciences of the People`s Liberation Army (PLA). He is also the managing editor of the academic journal Military Encyclopedia. Previously, Mr. Liu served in the army, air force, and armored units of the PLA. He was a teaching assistant from 1999 to 2005. He has studied the ancient history of Northeast Asia, the history of Sino-Korean cultural exchange, and is familiar with the ancient history of Korea. His main areas of research are military history and military transformation. He holds a master’s degree in military science and a master’s degree in economics.
