The Asan Institute for Policy Studies, Partnership for Global Security, and The Stanley Foundation jointly launched the Nuclear Security Governance Experts Group (NSGEG) and held its first workshop entitled “Improving Nuclear Security Regime Cohesion” in Seoul on July 18 to 19. The NSGEG consisted of around 25 nuclear security experts from twelve countries.
The NSGEG members focused their discussion on the current nuclear security regime assessment and ways of regime improvement including application of existing institutions, creation of a “baseline” or a “standard”, development of nuclear security framework convention, etc.
