The Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted the 5th ASAN Roundtable on “U.S. Midterm Election and the Future of the Obama Administration” on May 27, 2010.
The featured presenter, Charles E. Cook, Jr., is the publisher of The Cook Political Report and political analyst of the National Journal Group. He regularly writes a column in the Washington Quarterly and makes appearances on NBC News as a political analyst. In the roundtable, Cook forecasted that the Republicans would enjoy an increased popularity in the November midterm elections but that the result of the elections would not have a significant impact in the 2012 presidential election, when Obama is expected to run for reelection.
