Roundtable with Threat Reduction Advisory CommitteeThe Asan Institute for Policy Studies

On May 17^th, 2016, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted a closed roundtable with the Threat Reduction Advisory Committee (TRAC). Key issues discussed included the intersection of China with security issues in Korea and Chinese intervention in an event of crisis or conflict on the Korean peninsula. The comparative cases of North Korea and Iran were also raised with regards to security and nuclear nonproliferation concerns.

⇨ The Threat Reduction Advisory Committee (TRAC) provides the U.S. Secretary of Defense, through the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (USD(AT&L)) and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs (ASD(NCB)), independent advice and recommendations on matters relating to combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
