Dr. Lukonin is the director of China Studies at IMEMO. He is also an associate professor at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Previously, he was a scientific fellow at the Center for Economic and Social Studies of China in the Institute of Far Eastern Studies from 2001 to 2009. He received a Ph.D. in international economics from the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
