Dr. Shen is an assistant professor in the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing. He served in China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2004, and was an editor at CCTV-NEWS from 2005 to 2006. His articles have appeared in the People’s Daily and China Radio International among others. Dr. Shen received both his M.A. and Ph.D. in international politics from China Foreign Affairs University.
