Mr. Oliver is currently pursuing his PhD in UC San Diego’s Department of Political Science. Steven’s research focuses on environmental politics in the People’s Republic of China and the challenge of ensuring policy implementation by local officials. Prior to entering the PhD program, Steven worked as a researcher at Los Alamos National Labs involved in projects related to counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency. Steven received a B.S. in economics as well as an M.A. in political science from UC San Diego.
