On July 25-26, 2013, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies co-sponsored the second “KONICOF (Korea Nuclear International Cooperation Foundation)-KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) Nuclear Energy Policy Course” with the Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning and the Korean Nuclear Society.
This year’s two-day course examined the latest developments in the fields of nuclear policy and technology, with topics including the ‘Nuclear Issue of North Korea’,‘Risk Management Strategy and Response for Nuclear Development’, ‘Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Management of Nuclear Spent Fuel’, ‘Social Communication and Acceptance on Nuclear Issues’, and ‘Challenges of Domestic and International Nuclear Governance.’
Dr. Shin Chang-Hoon and Dr. Park Jiyoung, Research Fellows in the Asan Nuclear Policy and Technology Center (ANPTC) participated in the general discussions on the second day of the event.
