On October 11-12, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies, together with the German Marshall Fund of the United States and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, held the inaugural Korea Trilateral Forum (KTF). More than 50 experts from South Korea, the U.S., and Europe gathered in Seoul to have in-depth discussions on various topics in the Indo-Pacific, such as ‘South Korea as a Global Pivotal State,’ ‘North Korean Threats and Deterrence,’ Evolving Views of China: New Opportunities for Trilateral Cooperation?’, ‘Defense Cooperation Between the Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic,’ ‘The Global Trading System,’ and ‘Friendshoring and the New Industrial Policy.’
