The Asan Institute for Policy Studies hosted the 5^th Asan Institute Roundtable on “U.S. Midterm Election and the Future of the Obama Administration” on May 27, 2010.

The featured presenter, Charles E. Cook, Jr., is the publisher of The Cook Political Report and a political analyst for the National Journal Group. He regularly writes a column in The Washington Quarterly and makes appearances on NBC News as a political analyst. During the roundtable, Cook forecasted that the Republicans would enjoy an increase in support in the November midterm elections but that the result of the elections would not have a significant impact on the 2012 presidential election, when Obama is expected to run for reelection.
