The Asan Institute for Policy Studies is participating as a contest supporter of the ‘UNSCR 1540 International Student Essay Contest’ by the Stimson Center in Washington, DC.

The essay contest calls on students worldwide to submit their ideas on how to prevent the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The winning essay will receive a cash prize of $2,000, an all-expense-paid trip to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to present his/her ideas at an awards ceremony to representatives of the United Nations, and publication of the essay in a new Stimson Center report.

The contest will be open until August 5, 2016. Winners will be announced in early September.
