Wei Zhijiang, “President Park’s China Visit and China’s Relations with the two Koreas”The Asan Institute for Policy Studies

On Friday, July 12, 2013, the Asan Institute for Policy Studies held the 7th Asan China Inji Lecture (峨山中國仁智講座) with Wei Zhijiang, Professor and Director of the Korea Studies Institute at Sun Yat-sen University.

In a presentation titled, “President Park’s China Visit and China’s Relations with the two Koreas,” Professor Wei discussed the future prospects for China’s relations with the two Koreas following President Park Geun-hye’s recent visit to China. Professor Wei examined China’s different relations with South and North Korea as well as how its strategic priorities are likely to change in the future. Following the presentation, Professor Lee Jung Nam of Korea University and Professor Ryu Dong Won of the Korea National Defense University served as discussants.
