Dr. Zhao is the director of the European Studies Center at China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), director of the China Society for European Studies, and a professor in the Institute of International Relations. Previously, he was the director of the Division of Social Sciences Research at CFAU as well as deputy secretary general of the China National Association for International Studies. He has been a visiting fellow at Leicester University in the United Kingdom and a visiting Fulbright Research Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Zhao received a B.A. in English from Zhengzhou University and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in international relations from CFAU.
