Professor Sorman is a contributing editor at City Journal published by the Manhattan Institute. He is a French economist, philosopher, and author based in Paris and New York. He taught economics at Paris University for more than 30 years and served as a visiting professor at various universities in China, South Korea, Brazil, and the United States. He has held several positions in the French government and is currently the president of the City Council of Boulogne. Among his 25 books, Economics Does Not Lie was the latest to be released in South Korea. His Diary of an Optimist will be published in Seoul next September. As a columnist, Sorman`s opinions are published in many newspapers around the world. President Lee Myung-bak appointed Guy Sorman as a global advisor to the South Korean presidency.
