Participant Biographies

Guo Xiangang

Vice President and Senior Research Fellow, China Institute of International Studies

Mr. Guo is the Vice President and a Senior Research Fellow at the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS). From 1994 to 1998, he served as First Secretary in the Chinese Embassy in Iran. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley from April to October, 2000. His publications include “New Bright Spot in China’s Diplomacy: Cooperation with Emerging Countries” (China International Studies, 2010), “America Is Lost in Direction—An Review of ‘Krugman s prediction: the U.S. economy lost behind’” (in Chinese, International Studies, 2009), and “New Orientation for ROK-US Alliance” (China International Studies, 2006). Mr. Guo holds an M.A. in history from Fudan University.
