Participant Biographies

Maria Repnikova

Postdoctoral Fellow, The Asan Forum

Dr. Repnikova is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Asan Forum, as well as a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University’s Government Department. She recently defended her dissertation at the University of Oxford (Department of Politics and International Relations), where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Dr. Repnikova’s research focuses on comparative governance in China and Russia, including their approaches to the media and international relations. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and her master’s studies in comparative government at the University of Oxford, conducting research on China-Russia labor migration issues as a Fulbright Fellow.
