Akiyama Nobumasa

Dr. Akiyama is an Associate Professor in international security at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. He also serves as Adjunct Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs, as well as Rebuild Japan Initiative Foundation. Previously, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (2004-2007), Assistant Professor at Hiroshima Peace Institute (1998-2004). His appointments also include an advisor to the Japanese delegation to the NPT Review Conference in 2010, and a member of the advisory group on non-proliferation and disarmament for Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada.
