Ren Lin

Dr. Ren is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Previously, she was a research fellow in the Global Economic and Strategic Center at IWEP-CASS. Dr. Ren has chaired a National Social Science Fund project on emerging countries’ participation in global governance. Her research focuses on global governance, particularly BRICS and G20; nontraditional security issues such as cyber security; and European security and politics. Dr. Ren’s recent articles include, “On Sino-Russian Reconciliation,” Russia Studies (2011) and “Multi-dimensional Power and Cyber Security Governance,” World Economics and Politics (2013). Dr. Lin received her Ph.D. from the Free University Berlin’s Center of Global Politics, where she conducted a comparative study of reconciliation and conflict resolution in European and Asian experiences.
