Challenges and Opprtunities after the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster / Building Public Confidence in Nuclear Safety

Dr. Suzuki is the vice chairman of the Japan Atomic Energy Commission. Previously, he was a research associate at MIT’s Center for International Studies, a senior research fellow at the Institute of Energy Economics, professor at the Graduate School of Keio University, project professor and a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo, and an associate vice president of the Socio-Economic Research Center at the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry. He received his B.A. from the University of Tokyo, M.A. from MIT, and Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
