How Safe Are Nuclear Power Plants in South Korea?

Dr. Lee is the senior advisor at the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS). Previously, he was the vice president in the Office of Radiation and Radwaste Safety and also served as the president of the Korean Nuclear Society. Dr. Lee has more than thirty five years’ experience at KINS and has served in various technical and management positions in the Office of Nuclear Safety, Environment & Radiation Safety, and Research Division and Planning Division. Dr. Lee has pioneered the development of the key Korean Severe Accident Policy and nuclear safety related polices and directives, including those associated with safety analysis, severe accident and Risk Informed Regulation. He received a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Hanyang University.
