Dr. Vatansever is a Senior Associate in the Energy and Climate Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He specializes in the energy sectors of Eurasia with a particular focus on Russia and the Caspian region. Before joining Carnegie, he worked as a Senior Associate for Cambridge Energy Research Associates, specializing in areas such as crude oil transportation and export dynamics in Eurasia, tax and regulatory environment for the oil sector, and energy scenarios for Eurasia. He formerly worked for the World Bank, where he developed a research framework for the management of oil and gas revenues in resource-rich countries. Dr. Vatansever holds a Ph.D. from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University, an M.A. from Georgetown University, and a B.A. from the Middle East Technical University.
