Ambassador Labbé is the Chilean Ambassador to the Republic of Austria. He has served in various capacities in the course of his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile: director for international and human security; deputy permanent representative of Chile to the United Nations, New York; deputy director for special policy in charge of international security and disarmament; liaison officer to the Ministry of National Defense; deputy permanent representative of Chile to the United Nations Office; counselor and minister counselor at the Permanent Mission of Chile to the UN in Geneva; head of the disarmament and international security department; chargé d` affaires of Chile to the Syrian Arab Republic; deputy head of mission at the Embassy of Chile in Hungary; head of the South American department at the directorate for bilateral policy; secretary at the Embassy of Chile in Peru; chargé d` affaires of Chile in Nicaragua; and the secretary at the Embassy of Chile in Ecuador. He studied law at the University of Chile and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Santiago.
